With the beginning of this new millennium – unfortunately, absolutely exact data about the beginning of the “Ausflugsgaststätte Kirnbachthal” doesn’t exist anymore – our house looks back at a century of busy story.

From the excursion restaurant in the green to the modern restaurant and hotel.

Times are changing. Anno 1906, the “Ausflugsgaststätte Kirnbachthal” was located in the middle of the greenery, far outside of Niefern and only surrounded by scattered farmsteads. The “Rassler” (gold smithy skilled workers) stopped of here on their way from their residences in the Enztal to their workplace in Pforzheim. They took a snack while drinking a “Pfiff” or also a “Wässerle”.

In 1957, the excursion restaurant chanced to the property of the Bürkl family. Albert and Barbara Bürkl built up a reputation over the years in their village and lay the foundation to the hotel business as well.

Since 1986, Walburga and Hans-Jürgen Bürkl are entertaining and accommodating guests from near and far.

Our cuisine is praised and the friendly ambiance and comfortable hotel rooms are very valued.
